I use google for my primary SMTP. This is preferred because we need the sent folder.

I’m setting up SendGrid (free) for my fallback because I recently had my google token expire (Token has been expired or revoked.(invalid_grant)) and didn’t know our emails weren’t even getting sent out for 3 days.

I think I configured sendgrid correctly for SMTP use using the username apikey and the apikey as the password, but can’t figure out how to actually test it.

  • Hi @jb510,

Sorry that I am only just getting around to reading your forum post and replying to you. I have been super busy lately, and this is the first opportunity I’ve had to respond.

Unfortunately there is no easy way to test this, the only thing to do would be to change the username/password on your primary SMTP to something invalid so that it fails. Sorry!

    Kind Regards,
    Tim
