How to transfer site to new domain and new host

How do I transfer a site on one of my domains to a new host and new domain because the instructions in the documentation are terrible.

I have a wp site at https://www.mysite.com/wp/ and want to transfer it to https://www.newsite.com
What do I need to do? I tried exporing in PHPadmin like they said than importing and I’m getting errors.
