How to translate a footer that uses widgets

  • Hi there Tim, found a way to ask for support, se, teh thing is, I’m working on an already finished website and the client is asking me to have the footer translated to English when that language is selected, currently 2 languages in the site, English and French, in French everything works cool but when in English it have the same texts as in French, went there and found that the footer uses 4 widgets, one of those widgets is the one I need translated because it is just text, but how to do this? Do I need to replicate the footer.php file with other widgets on? Not sure about the process on how to make this effective, any idea? Thanks so much!

    I assume the widget comes from a plugin or a theme? If so, please post a link to download it.

    I’m not sure, I mean, yes, there’s a theme, and I think the client is using a child theme on this case, the site is placed here: https://www.fmimmo.com as you can see at the footer if you select french the text there is the same, not sure how to place a link to download, you mean, the user credentials?

    If the widget is part of the theme, please post a source code download link to the theme. Please don’t post user credentials.

    Sorry Tim, I’m very slow to this kind of things, I know HTML and CSS and some basic to middle PHP, when you say source code, you mean the source code of the home page? or exactly which page? Again, sorry.

    a source code download link to the theme assuming that is where your widget comes from. Wherever you got it from, or however you want to supply it, post the link. If I can’t examine it, I can’t advise.
