It looks like that the custom widget area for the Cookie Consent is not supporting options for translations like any other WP feature.
I’m using Polylang as translation plugin and the Cookies Notice is only showing the input text I can type in the Customizer.

I’m using the latest version (as today) available for Blocksy, Companion, Polylang on WP 5.7

Do you have any hint, suggestion, idea on how to tackle this issue?
    Thank you!

  • Hi Giorgio25b,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Are you using Polylang for other translations other than Blocksy? I haven’t tested Polylang personally, but I can guarantee that Loco Translate — https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/loco-translate/ — works perfectly with Blocksy and its plugins.

    Thanks,

@strelok1911 thank you, but Polylang allows a multi-language website without creating a new .mo file, it’s basically a link between 2 pieces of content in different languages.
Polylang hooks perfectly almost everywhere with Blocksy, but the Customizer enhances custom widgets that are not translatable.

Anyway, it could be that the solution lies in between the theme and the plugin approaches, so for the time being I’ll work around it with this plugin that does the job (for now):

    Add Polylang support for Customizer

    Thank you!
