Hello, I want to translate the categories that appear in the main page to spanish, like “Pages” or “Recent posts”. Can I do that directly from the css editor? How?
Or do I need to go to the wordpress translate page and look for those words and translate them?
    Thanks, Juan.

Hi – are you looking to create the site in multiple languages? Or do you just want to translate the theme in your language? If you want to translate the theme – please go through these links for help:

I did eveything in there, until the part I upload the two files containing the translation to the theme folder.
The problem I have now is that I don’t know how to “tell” worpress to use that translation.
    Thanks for everything

Also – once you’re done – would you be so kind as to share your translation here https://translate.www.ads-software.com/projects/wp-themes/vega?

I already have wordpress in spanish. What I mean is how to change the language of the theme (vera), in order to have my site displayed in spanish. I translated the theme using poedit, following the manual, and then I uploaded those 2 files (pot and po) to the folder “languages” inside the theme’s folder. But that didnt change automatically the theme so spanish, so thats what I am missing. As an example, here is my website: https://www.econpolitica.org/
What I want to change ae the word in english in the sidebar, like “Pages” or “Recent posts”.
    Thanks again.

So you’ve translated the files and added them to the language folder? Also, did you change the value for the language in wp-config.php?

I didnt change the language value. In the instructions it said that if you have wordpress 4.0 or above (as i do) you dont need to change anything. Anyway, I tried looking into the wp-config.php with an editor but I couldnt find the line define (‘WPLANG). So Im still stuck there.
    Thanks again.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.
