• Hi—
I just want to manage each of my (3) WordPress sites simply. I do not want to be an ‘Administrator’ (whatever that is….). I do not understand how I signed up for it in the first place….
So, please help me to turn-off (or ‘deactivate’ or ‘delete’ or whatever it is called) the ‘Multisite Management’ (I think that’s what it’s called….).
    Thanks!

  • I think you are referring to Multisite. You want to turn it off?

Yes, if that is what causes me to have an ‘Administrator’ title.
    Thanks!

You want the administrator title. If you don’t have the administrator title then you can’t control plugins, themes, and lots of other stuff on your website. Do you mean the Super Admin?

In the upper left-hand corner of my Dashboard, it says ‘Network Admin’ under ‘My Sites’. Can’t I just use my website, like I use my other 2 websites? (www.ersatz-coffee.com and https://www.mountain-jack.com) Ever since I started this 3rd website, I’ve been having problems working with my plug-ins, etc. The previous 2 website were not this difficult. I think it’s because I clicked on the Multisite banner on the top of some of the dashboards, etc.
    Thanks.

My other 2 sites do not say “My Sites”. Just the name of the site and ‘Visit Site’. I’d like this 3rd website (coffeetrade.info) to work similarly. I do not have a lot of coding skills, so I’d really like to keep my websites as simple as possible. Thanks.

You need to disable Multisite on the website. Do the reverse of step two on this Codex. https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Create_A_Network#Step_2:_Allow_Multisite

Please note my previous posting. I have no idea of where to go to perform this instruction. Can you guide me?

I think it will be more trouble than it’s worth to do what you are asking.
Google: how to disable wordpress multisite
Read through the answers regarding the process that you want to undertake.
You might be a lot better off by spending time on fixing what is wrong with your third site.
Start a new topic for your exact problem and try to go with your MustiSite setup – I think in the long run this will be better.

Multisite is a little confusing at first – especially how some plug-in work with in it. Spend a little time studying it’s Menu structure and the menu structure of the websites within it.
