How to turn off autoformat and format Newsletter content manually

  • Hi,

    Knews plugin (v1.7.6; template:casablanca): autoformats fonts sizes, doesn’t allow to select font types, rewrites paragraph alignment settings and doesn’t allow to re-modify it, sometimes doesn’t allow to delete blocks etc.
    What’s wrong and how can I turn autoformat off?

    Hello Vane.

    Maybe are you pasting from word or another text processor? This way is so impredictible and makes a great amount of waste code at paste time. The way to paste clean text is using the text editor: paste the text on it, copy again and paste on Knews. It will paste clean text.

    Then you can set the font/size etc. through the text icon (maybe on the module or general on the right side icon), depends of the module.

    You might be right, it’s copied from Word, I will test it.
    Another formatting issue is that a Newsletter looks significantly differently seeing its preview while editing it, in Outlook and in eg. Gmail when reading it. There are <br>s in one and are not in another, killing Newsletter design.

    Do you have any idea?

    Are you tryied it without word-paste? Still occur?

    …and I ask you again: it occurs without any paste from word?

    It still occurs even if I copy text first from Word to Notepad++ and from that into Knews editor…
    Even if I edit the content blocks HTML, Knews reformats it, for example it adds paragraphs where it shouldn’t…
