• Hey guys,
So all of my websites just auto updated to WP 3.9.2, and can I ask first,
How can I make it so that they do not auto update?

I had a client call today, and it looks like for some reason, on his PC, the slideshow is no longer working for him (https://nanovectorinc.com/), even though I have tested it out on my phone, tablet, laptop and PC, using Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and IE, but can not recreate his problem with it not loading or not being able to manually skip slides, and he even told me that he tried it on another PC and it worked, just not his for some reason. I do not get why it is not working on his PC though, but I am trying to go back to the WP version I had before the update, just incase there might be other computers where it does not work either.

I do use the WP-DB Manager plugin and I have backups made every other week just to be safe, and after trying to restore the last couple backups, it says I am still running 3.9.2… The backups were supposed to be both structure and data, but it does not look like this is fixing the problem.

Can anyone help me with this? Thanks so much for reading!!!

    Mike

  • If you are having problem only on one PC, then ask your client to try cleaning cache, use different browser and check if problem is present. Actually it’s recommended to use latest version of WordPress.

But since you ask – to downgrade to previous version, download version you wish to install from here. And follow steps to manually update WordPress given here (scroll down to Manual Update)

To disable WordPress auto update refer here.
