    Hi, I happened to login to my site at the same time an attacker was brute forcing using I’m guessing my username. So, the plugin is forcing me to reset my password. Unfortunately, I’m not getting the email to reset the password. Can I just login to my server and delete the plugin files, then reinstall after? Will that work, or do I need to do something in the database or something? I need to get in and edit my website ASAP, so please get back with me. Thanks.

    I was able to get in by resetting my password via phpmyadmin and deleting the plugin folder. I also deleted the database table that contains failed login attempts. Is there any other database info that this plugin would usually delete upon un-installing? Thanks

    Never mind. I was able to reset the plugin by creating a new user, re-activating, then de-activating the plugin. I can now login again with my main admin account. I have disabled the feature to log out user and require password change to avoid this issue in the future. If anyone else encounters this problem, you can fix it by doing what I did above.

    I intermittently get reports of people not getting the emails. Not sure why that happens. Guesses of some possible reasons:
    * lands in spam bin
    * blocked by ISP
    * wrong email address in wordpress
    * web server’s email capabilities disabled or misconfigured
    * some plugin blocks the email
