How to Update a self hosted WordPress

  • Hello everyone,

    Sorry if this is a really basic question but here’s the scenario:

    I am running a Mac (OS 10.7.3 Server) with MySQL and WordPress 3.2.1, its working fine.

    however

    I’d like to update it (and the plugins) but the ‘update’ feature I can’t seem to get working… Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Sorry if this seems l like a stupid question.

    There’s always the manual upgrade where you download themes, plugins, latest WordPress release, extract ect. but the click to update is cool and useful.

    What’s the error message you are getting? It may be a file system permission issue.
