• I have managed to update my TTT templates in some ways (e.g. updated the main menu, updated the site colours), but I am stuck in progressing further. I keep getting “Saving failed.” error messages.

I’m happy to work through a tutorial or something like, if you can point me in the right direction. I want to do things such as:

    1. Remove the “Mindblown: a blog about philosophy.” title from my blog page.
    2. Remove the colour overlay (50% opacity) from all my featured images. Or at least change the colour itself to white rather than dark grey.
    3. Add widget-like things to a sidebar for all pages and posts, including tags, categories, links, text, and so on.

Any help would be much appreciated!

  • Hi @juliebozza what is the title of the template you are trying to update? If the template title isn’t using non-Latin characters that could be causing the issue you are having and it is being looked at here.

Nevertheless, if the title is using Latin characters i.e English this may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles. If you can install plugins, install and activate “Health Check”
It will add some additional features under the menu item under Tools > Site Health. On its troubleshooting tab, you can Enable Troubleshooting Mode. This will disable all plugins, switch to a standard WordPress theme (if available), allow you to turn your plugins on and off, and switch between themes, without affecting normal visitors to your site. This allows you to test for various compatibility issues.
