    It really depends on your hosting provider, I’ve seen some hosts before have the ability to assign certain PHP version to a certain directory (this is mostly a sub-domain setup), if that’s the case with your web hosting, then you can give them the name of your staging site’s directory and they will assign a specific PHP version for it.
