how to upload a folder to the themes folder?

  • Hello,

    I’m a joomla user learning WordPress.

    How do I upload a new theme to the themes’s folder? Can I do it from within WP?

    There must be a way?? no??

  • If you have FTP access you can go to wp-content/themes and upload the theme folder there.

    Thanks Hyper123 but I’m looking to do this within WordPress.

    With Joomla, there is a “file manager” which allows you to upload files/folders to any folder.

    Do I really need to rely on an external app?

    You can try the plugin OneClick Installer that will let you either upload a zip or give it a link to a zip of a theme or plugin and it will take it and unzip it to the correct folder.
