How to upload images, optimise and get rid of originals?

I want to upload images, optimise the images into a large format and only use this optimised version – any further images made should be from the optimised image

The original image itself should be deleted and removed

Are there any plugins that help do something similar to what I want?

This would help stop the user from making the website heavy
