How to use Action Filters

  • Could anyone please point me some direction on how to apply some filter to JC Submenu populate my menu.

    What I want is show some items that are part of two categories. By example:

    Boys
    -Shoes
    –Tennis
    -T-shirts

    Girls
    -Shoes
    –Tennis
    -T-shirts

    Brand 1
    Brand 2

    I want to create a menu item with all brands that produce shoes, or a menu with all tennis models for girls and boys.

    How can I use the actions filters to choose the right categories to display? How do I call theses actions and where exactly??
