How to use blogpost as homepage

Hi there @marc7 – Rather than redirecting your URL to a specific post – which is something your web host or domain registrar would need to help you with, in any case – I’d suggest placing a Query Loop block on your homepage, and set the block to display only that specific post. It’s much better for visitors and search engines to have a clean root URL, and it also looks more professional.

After adding the Query Loop block to your homepage, toggle off the “Inherit Query from template” setting. Then use a Filter to select your post. For example, you could assign that post the category intro and then select that category in the Filters area.

I read the information and followed the instructions. For now only the blog title appears and not the whole post. The result can be seen at https://gzk.marckant.be/home/ . So I am missing a link somewhere.

Hi @marc7 – you’ll need to add the Post Content block inside the Query Loop block to display the full content of the post.

And if you’d like your post’s featured image to be displayed, you can also add a Post Featured Image block as well.

That’s right, you’d put the Query Loop block on a static page in the scenario I’m suggesting.

It works perfectly. Simple when you know it, but I wasn’t able to piece together the various elements in the online information. I was not familiar with the query loop. So thanks a lot.
