How to Use Contextual Arguments

Looked at the code and figured it out. Basically its exactly as shown in the examples, though this should probably be included in the plugin widget description for clearer understanding.

author={{post:post_author}}&&post_type={{post:post_type}}

The string is parsed using wp_parse_str() and then passed to array_merge_recursive() to merge in the args.

Yes, sorry for the slow reply, making a good response to this question is on my todo list.

It’s basically everything that you can pass into WP_Query() as a string argument. For example: new WP_Query('post_type=page&orderby=ID&order=desc') With the caveat that arrays are complicated (you have to URLencode brackets because the shortcode regex will mess it up otherwise).
