How to use mp3 jplayer from template?

I want to start the player not in the post or page editor but in a template with:
do_shortcode([mp3-jplayer tracks="FEED:/directory/music/sub_directoy"]);but it doesnt work. It just loads the mpj player div without buttons or any content. Is there a way to get the player running this way?
