• Hi,

I have just updated to the latest version of Cookie notice and saw the new feature about revoke cookies. I think I have made the correct settings, I have the “Refuse cookies” option enabled. But nothing shows up.. I have tried both using the methods for automatic and manual.. Maybe I have done something wrong or maybe I am missing something?

The link mentioned above gives detailed information about use. If it does not help you, then you need to do the following here:
    1) explain the exact settings you have made for the various settings fields
    2) indicate where you may have included the shortcode.
    3) indicate the page the visitor is viewing (is it a page with the shortcode or some other page?)
    4) Indicate what you expect to see displayed by this plugin and what you expect to happen when you click on objects
    5) Indicate what happens instead of what you expect

By providing this level of detail, it will be much easier to help you.

    Dear josiah,

I fully understand your request, I will try to be as precise as possible

    1. The settings is simple :
Plugin is used in 4 languages with Polylang
Enable privacy policy/custom link => privacy policy page
    Link target Blank
    Refuse cookie un tagged
    Revoke cookies Enable text”Revoke Cookie”
    Manual tagged
Script : Google analytics in header
    Reloading enable
    on scroll => not tagged
    Expiry 1 year
    Script placement Header
    Deactivation untagged
    Position Bottem
    Animation slide
    Button style none
    button class button
    Text colour white
    Bar colour grey

I have google analytics dashboard from exact metrics but only for monitoring on my back-end page,
    Tracking code is disabled
I have WP Fastest Cache, but cache deleted at every test
And tested all with these 2 plug-ins deactivated (I read in other posts they could interfere with the fonctions of your plug-in.

    2. Location of revoke button

Revoke button is on the privacy policy page (Legal)
On this I have the [cookies_revoke]) => in polylang I give the 4 policy pages each time different
    So I have 4 [cookies_revoke] buttons :
    https://3d-webservice.com/fr/accueil/legal/
    https://3d-webservice.com/ca/inici/legal/
    https://3d-webservice.com/es/inicio/legal/
    https://3d-webservice.com/en/home/legal/

    3. Viewing page
Visitor can land on any page and have the bar with the ??I agree button?? & the ??privacy policy?? button
The revoke button is located in the corresponding privacy policy page

Otherwise people will always revoke if they have this option as the first possibility

    4. & 5. Expectations & Actual situation

If a visitor not agree, he can leave the bar displayed along his navigation or he needs to go to click the privacy page and down the page push the revoke button.
This would then need to remove the bar and allow him to navigate without loading the cookies.

If the visitor clicks the ??I agree?? button and later made up his mind he don’t want to be followed, he would then be able to go to the policy page and revoke the cookie, this would delete the cookie

Activating revoke button does not delete the cookies nighter remove the cookie announcement bar

I hope with this you have all the information in order to come back with a constructive solution or suggestion

I am just a user of the plugin, like you, so I am not an authoritative source of information. I am just trying to help, given that the plugin authors don’t respond to most messages here.

I tried connecting to your site. I note the following:
    1) a cookie named pll_language is created without the visitor doing anything at all
    2) I clicked on the I agree button and another cookie named cookie_notice_accepted with value true was set. On the other hand, I do not see any google analytics cookies, like _ga, being set from your domain.
    3) I went to the page https://3d-webservice.com/en/home/legal/ and clicked on the Revoke cookies button. This does not seem to do anything, as the cookie_notice_accepted cookier still has a value of true.

If I understand your remarks, you are expecting that the google analytics cookies be deleted if the visitor clicks on Revoke cookies. But let me ask how the plugin could do this? It only allows you to enter a script to create and use cookies. I see nowhere that it allows you to enter a script to delete any cookies.

    Hello Josiah,
I thought you were involved with the development of this cookie.

    1. Is normal this is the Polylang cookie, and is not controlled via the cookie
    2. The google script is in the head section of settings of cookie notice, so this again shows it does not work
    3. the revoke button is the one of the cookie so has no effect

What else should the revoke do ?

    Thanks for your help.
I will stop loosing time with this unsupported plugin
    Thanks for your input

Similar question here, the button is doing nothing:
    https://dfactory.eu/support/topic/how-cookies_revoke-is-working/

We expect that the Cookie banner comes back on clicking the revoke button.

Some more support in your forums would be nice.

It works exactly this way – brings back the banner when clicked.
