Hi, I’m very happy with your plugin. I have a question though, I have a website with 3 different communities. Each community has it own category, and I need to use the shortcode once in each community, just different categories to be displayed. Each page should only display its own category. I used the shortcode for category 1 and it worked just fine. Then I went back in and changed to include only category 2. Saved and copied the shortcode. Pasted into the page I only want to display posts from category 2 but the shortcode keeps displaying the posts from category 1.

Is it possible to do what I’m trying?

    Thanks in advance.

    Plugin Version 1.4 | WordPress Version 3.4.2

    [mycatlist cat_length=’20’ post_length=’20’ excerpt_length=’70’ title_only=’no’ thumbnail=’yes’ read_more=’Read More…’ new_window=’no’ posts=’1′ order_by=’name’ exclude_cat=’summit-square,sunnyside’ include_cat=’kings-grant-2′ child_cats=’no’ columns=’1′ limit=’1′ order_by_type=’asc’]

I have 3 categories and 3 separate corresponding pages:

    1 – summit-square
    2 – sunnyside
    3 – kings-grant-2

The sample above, for example, is supposed to show “kings-grant-2” posts and exclude “summit-square” and “sunnyside” but it only displays “sunnyside” posts. This is true for the 3 categories, all three shortcodes created specifically with parameters for each page still pull “sunnyside” category only.

Thank you very much for your help!

exclude_cat and include_cat both should be given category ids and not the slug… to find category id, go to posts->categories, click on edit link for the category and you can see the id in url in browser….
