How To use SFTP instead of FTP

    Hoe To use SFTP instead of FTP for everything in my wordpress installation from daily uploads till auto-updates.
    Please help me out., I’m using ubuntu 16.04

  • Provided your host allows you to use the SFTP port (22), you should be able to adjust the settings in your FTP Client to use it. Switch from normal FTP protocol to SFTP and ensure you are using the right port.

    Are you having any specific issues or getting any error messages when you try?

    My exact problem is this, that, there is no SFTP option here..

    I believe I need to manually install SFTP support for wordpress., (I have done that before as well., but unfortunately forgot how did I)
