How to use tags with recipes ?

    Hi,

    How can I add WordPress tags to my recipes and am I able to use the WordPress categories instead of the cooked categories ?

    Cooked uses a custom post type called “Recipes” for you to differentiate between normal posts and recipe posts. These recipe posts also have a custom taxonomy called “Categories” that are only for recipes. The default is that you would create your recipes and your recipe categories and assign them accordingly.

    However, if you wanted to use your posts and post categories for your recipes, you would create your recipes as usual and then use the recipe shortcode on a normal post to display that recipe. If you go this route you would want to activate the option to “Disable Public Recipes” on the Recipes > Settings screen (near the bottom of the first tab).
