How to Use the Plugin

  • I am trying to build a page on a website I am working on to do two of the following things listed below:

    1-When the user lands on the page it will ask them to use their location and if they say yes it will filter all the lawyers near there location

    2-Also, they can have the option to enter their information if they opt out using the location option listed above.

    Can you please let me know if this plugin can do the job and what you recommend med doing.

    Yes and no. Yes you could use this plugin as a basis, but you still need to do some programming. The simple part is to do an interface that proposes a default location (but even there you would need PHP skills). Then, “listing the lawyers near that location” : for this you need to calculate the distance yourself (see https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/geo-targeted-ads-based-on-location-ip/ for technical details). And then you would need to define how the user will enter their location, Google Maps API probably is the easiest solution because you need to convert a city name into lat/long-Coordinates.

    So in any case, you will need a developer to implement your requirements. We can send you a quote if you like us to, but then we will need more details as to how it should look like.

    Actually, the plugin is targeted at theme and plugin developers, though there is some limited functionality that you can use without being a developer, for example the shortcodes (simply showing which city was detected).
