    Hi deepthi,

sorry for late reply, i was away in january.

As long as url is finishing with: “?raf=ref5847878” it will work.

so you can do via home page:

    https://www.somepage.com/?raf=ref5847878

    or via product like:

    https://www.somepage.com/products/demo-product/?raf=ref5847878

In premium version, i added these referral links inside each product as woo tab to make it easier for users. Link from “my account” page is linking to home page.

    Best,
    Goran

    hi Goran,
    thnks for ur reply.
by giving https://www.somepage.com/?raf=ref5847878 its been opening the homepage, and after going to shop or any other link, the referral link is going away. also if i add the referral link to the product, after adding to the cart, if i go to viewcart, the link is going away. i tried placing the link during checkout also like “https://www.somepage.com/checkout/?raf=ref5847878” but, after placing the order, referral link is not being taken.

i don’t understand how to use this? or is there any problem with settings? please help.

i will wait for ur reply

    thanks

    I’m with the same problem.
    How to use it correctly?

Hi, not sure how i didnt see question from deepthi before.

So, referral link works this way.

    1. User1 shares his referral link, lets say its: https://www.somesitem.com/?raf=12345
    2. When user2 clicks on his link, he gets to site homepage and at the same time cookie with referral code value “12345” is being saved in user2 browser. Thats why /?raf=12345 does not show across site anymore, as its saved as a cookie.
    3. During checkout, site is checking if cookie “raf” exists and if it does it saves it together with an order as a metadata of that order.
    4. When that order is being marked as complete, site is checking if metadata “raf” exists, if it does, its checking value and searching for a user whos referral code is saved, in this case its user1 referral code. Then it creates a coupon for user1 and send it to him. If order was done via referral code, you will see it inside order description, like here: https://wpgens.com/slike/referral2.png

I hope this explains it better. Ill create video tutorial as well.

Let me know if u have any more questions or need further clarification.

Is it possible that the user who sent the link receives the discount only with the user’s registration?
