    Hi,

In the settings of the plugin, I have checked “Add Global Site Tracking Code ‘gtag.js'”.

    1) Could you please explain me what is the use of the gtag.js? Is it necessary for your plugin to work?

    2) Could you please tell me how I can verify if the gtag.js is installed on my website? I have gone to the homepage of my website and then right clic – View source and then I searched for gtag.js but there is no result.

    3) I have a Child Theme. It is said that your free version of the plugin is “Not fully compatible with the child/custom Theme”. What does it mean exactly? Is your plugin going to work with my website if I have a Child Theme? How can I verify if everything works correctly?

    4) Once the plugin is activated, is it possible to see the e-commerce results in GA from the past? Or does it only start once the plugin is activated?

Thank you very much in advance for your answers.

    Hi @fotske,

Below are the replies to your queries:

    1) The global site tag (gtag.js) is a JavaScript tagging framework and API that allows you to send event data to Google Analytics. Follow this link to know more about it.

    2) You have followed the right approach but search gtag/js instead of gtag.js

    3) If you have a child/custom theme then this version of our plugin might work on pages that follow standard WooCommerce integration. Please share the store URL and the active child theme so that we could check the plugin’s working on your store.

    4) The GA will have data of only those events and activities, which were captured by the plugin after activating it.

We hope the above answers help.

    Hi,

    Concerning 2) I can’t find gtag/js neither.

Concerning 3) I sent you the URL of my website and the active child theme by email at hello at tatvic.com.

Thank you very much in advance for your feedback.
