• Why do the theme files not show the full code in the editor? While editing a particular theme, if I hit F12 in Chrome, the developer tools window opens and enables me to change the values using the inspect element feature. When I try to modify the same bit of code in the editor, I can’t seem to find the line of code in the style sheet.

    Thank you in advance.

  • What theme are you using? Some themes use multiple stylesheets. I don’t have Chrome installed on this machine, so I can’t check the exact wording, but the developer tools should have a tab named “Resources” or something along those lines, where you can see all fonts, scripts, images, and stylesheets that were loaded on that page.

Also, it’s not recommended to edit the theme’s files directly, as you’ll lose those changes if the theme is ever updated in the future, to fix bugs or security issues or to add new features. Instead, you should use your theme’s built-in custom CSS option, if one exists, or a custom CSS plugin.

Hey Stephen, I’m using the Business One theme. Mapping Journeys is the name of the site.

Hey Vamsi, I’d dive into reading about the child themes and give it a shot later in the day.

Thank you for the help guys!
