This is going to sound like the most uber-n00b question ever written but how do I view the logs generated by this plugin?

The only dashboard item I have is the config page (/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=wordpress-zero-spam-settings) – how do I find the dashboard pages that are in the screenshots?

So far, this plugin appears to have abated the torrent of spam I was receiving previously. Thanks for your help!

You can find it under the Dashboard menu in admin.

Thanks, @bmarshall511 but the very crux of the issue is that I can’t. I only have one dashboard menu item, which leads to the aforementioned config page.

Logging is enabled under the ‘General Settings’ accordion but there is no link to view logs. I was getting a lot of spam before, so I imagine at least one log trace would have been generated by now.

Perhaps I can travel to the logs directly via URL instead? Could you tell me the admin URL path for the log page so that I can append it to my domain please?

/wp-admin/index.php?page=wordpress-zero-spam-dashboard is the default dashboard URL. If you’re unable to see it, it’s likely you don’t have the permissions for it… or there’s another plugin controlling that menu structure.

    That’s helpful, thank you, @bmarshall511.

When I enter that URL directly it takes me to the log dashboard, so that’s precisely what I was looking for. Presumably there is supposed to be a menu item that links directly to this page under ‘Settings’?

I will review the custom dashboard code I’ve added to my site as it’s possible there is a conflict that is causing the menu item to be removed.

This was helpful. I also never had access to, nor had I ever seen the Dashboard page for ZeroSpam.

It is easily overlooked @vmajor – I did eventually find it as a submenu item under the ‘Dashboard’ menu item.

Whilst it does make perfect sense for the Zero Spam dashboard to be located here, I couldn’t find any documentation that explained how to find it. At the very least, a link from the Zero Spam settings page would’ve helped.

@bmarshall511 – if more than one user has struggled to find the dashboard (I can’t speak for @vmajor but I am a seasoned web developer of some 12 years now) then it would be worthwhile making a few quick adjustments to the plugin and docs so it is more clear.

Thanks Ian. Unfortunately I am at the age where “my experience is even longer than yours” no longer has the appeal that it had in the past ??
