• After upgrading to WordPress 2.1 I found that children=0 in wp_list_cats did nothing, which is messing up my horizontal navbar. Can anyone help? I just want the categories with no parents displaying, and none of the others.

  • Don’t know if it’s related, but when I added child categories, I had to adjust the CSS (it was a pain), to get them to indent in the sidebar area. Anyway, I suppose you could use CSS to hide certain ones, but not sure if that would be acceptable as a global solution or not.

It would be simple enough to css the children away with a hierarchical list, but it’s not a great solution as it drastically changes the site navigation when css is unavailable.
