Thanks for your question. There’s no way to limit the effect of the mapping rules from the Settings/Media Library Assistant IPTC/EXIF tab, but you can use the Media/Assistant Bulk Edit area to apply the rules selectively.
Navigate to the Media/Assistant admin submenu and check the box on the left of each item you want to update, or check all the items and then uncheck the items you want to omit. Select “Edit” in the Bulk Actions Dropdown and then click “Apply”. You will find the “Map IPTC/EXIF metadata” button in the lower-right corner of the Bulk Edit area. Click that to apply your rules to the selected items.
You can pull down the Screen Options area and increase the number of items per page to make the process go quicker. You can also filter the table by taxonomy terms, the Search Media box, etc. to reduce the items displayed.
