How “treat replies as new posts” works

    Hello,
    I’m trying to understand how this function works, but I’m getting a little confused.

    I’m accepting email by two users.

    One of them (eg. [email protected]) sends the email to the postie account (eg. [email protected]), and it’s published as post. Good.

    Now I’m from my account, that is in the example [email protected], I reply to the email sent by [email protected]. I thought it was supposed to be published, but it’s not how the replies work.

    However, this is the process I’d like to accomplish. My main email account is the one I set up with Postie. When I reply to the email received, I’d like my reply to be posted as well. And when the sender replies again, continuing the thread, I’d like that to be published as well again.

    Is that possible?
