    Hi,

What we have to do in Mailchimp? When I go to ‘Add a Field’ inside Mailchimp List fields and *|MERGE|* tags, it doesn’t have checkbox there.

How we pass the value of the checkbox?

    Hi @papgeo,

    I’m referencing this screenshot: https://ps.w.org/eu-opt-in-compliance-for-mailchimp/assets/screenshot-1.png?rev=1872070.

The first field, Save Checkbox Opt-In as a Merge Field, allows you to pick a MERGE field that you created to store a value.

The second field, Merge Field Opt-In Value, allows you to enter the value you want saved. This value will be saved to the MERGE field you chose in the first field. You can enter any value you’d like here.

The last field, the checkbox at the bottom – Save Checkbox Compliance Text, allows you to save the text next to your checkbox as a note on the subscriber’s profile.

I hope that all makes sense – let me know if you have any questions.

    Cheers,
    Kevin.

Thanks for your reply. Everything inside the plugin is ok.

The thing is that inside Mailchimp we can’t pass the value to checkboxes, checkboxes don’t have Merge tags. However, we can pass it through Text fields. Is it ok to do it this way?

You can pass the value through to text fields – yes. This will still allow you to do things like segmentation in MailChimp.
