How Work With GD Star Rating ?

HELP ME

Hi there,
as a beginner of wordpress, i just couldn’t work out how to set up the GD star rating plugin for the purpose of running a review website. The only thing i could get was the star rating at the bottom of every post that people clicked on to rate my posts – certainly not what i wanted in terms of running a review website.

To me the readme’s/userguides were very complex and i didn’t ubderstand a single word of it.

After doing some searching i came across the following plugin that’s dead simple to install and get working right away. Take a look it might work for you:

You enter the code whereever you want the star rating to show up. I’m setting up a review site and i copy the following code and paste it at the end of my post:

[xrrgroup][xrr label="Plot:" rating="2.25/5" group="s1" ] [xrr label="Characters:" rating="5/5" group="s1"] [xrr label="Dialog:" rating="5/5" group="s1"] [xrr label="Production:" rating="4.5/5" group="s1"] [xrr label="Just One More Episode:" rating="5/5" group="s1"] [xrr label="Overall:" overall=true group="s1" ][/xrrgroup]

that will give you the following (but you change the ratings names to whatever you want them to be):

Plot: *****
Characters: *****
Dialog: *****
Production: *****
Just One More Episode: *****
Overall: *****

To change the names and scores in the above code – find the name you want to change and enter the score you want:
