We are having issues with google crawling our posts. We contacted you three weeks ago with a sample URL. Here’s the link to our conversion: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/missing-site-url-on-sitemap/

Basically, once the post is published, for some cases, the sitemap is not updated. Sitemap only updates once we press the update button after publishing.

Can you please tell us how Yoast SEO generates the sitemaps?

Can you please share your support email where we can discuss this matter further privately?

In our previous conversation, someone asked to live test the URL. We did and it generated a positive result. This happened after we pressed the update button btw.

    Thanks!

We are sorry to hear that you’re still having the same issue with our plugin. Yoast SEO generates the sitemap on the fly and updates the sitemaps once a page is published, updated or deleted.

When you say Yoast SEO doesn’t update the sitemaps when publishing a new page, do you mean you don’t see the relevant page in the sitemap but see only when you update the page?

In regards to the support email, we only support through email for premium subscribers. If you consider purchasing premium subscription, we can definitely look into the issue privately on your setup.

Yes, but not all the time. We only find out such an issue when a user complains that his/her post is not on the google search results.

Thanks for your confirmation. In this case, can you please create a temporary new post now on your site to see whether this appears in the post sitemap?

If the relevant temporary post doesn’t appear on the post sitemap, can you please try doing the same process while all the non-Yoast plugins are disabled and the default 2020 theme is active? We understand you may not want to disable everything on your production website. So, you may want to use the Health Check plugin troubleshooting mode. You can find the relevant guide here https://yoast.com/help/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/.

Let us know what happens after performing the above suggestions.
