• Firstly, I love this plug-in. It looks like it may solve a huge problem for our research center BUT I am not sure how Tags work.

Is there a way to just show a table of results from a single tag, so I can for example build a page that shows everything in our library with one specific tag. Perhaps there is a shortcode for this just like for filtering categories?

Also, it would be awesome if the user could click on the tags for a certain link and see all other links that have that same tag (hotlinked tags).

Please let me know before we get too deep into data entry to discover this plugin may not be the right one (please be the right one).

Tags can only be displayed as additional information when showing your list of links at the moment. That being said, I kind of like the idea of using tags as a way to filter what links are shown, while still showing the links based on the categories.

As for being to click on link tags to change the tags to be shown, that could be possible as well, but still within the category restrictions that the page was considered for.

Now, the one thing I did not want to get into with tags was to display links organized by tag instead of by categories. That would require a much more significant effort.

I am on vacation for a couple of weeks and should be able to tackle these functions. I will let you know if I have further questions.

I have started adding more support for tag selection in version 6.5.6. You will see that under the common tab of library configurations, there are now lists to select tags to be included or excluded from results. I have also added an option in the Advanced tab of Library Configurations to allow tags to become links to only show results that have that tag.

I am not sure where to put some sort of link to reset the list not to be filtered by tags. Top? Bottom? Both?

Also, I have not yet found a way to filter the list of categories better when showing [link-library-cats] with a tag filter active. Currently, it will show categories that contain links even if none contain the selected tag. I will keep looking another day but at the moment, it may cause some undesired situations.

I should also mention that you can use the parameter taglistoverride in the [link-library] shortcode to specify the tags that should be displayed. Or you can create multiple libraries, each with the tags selected in the configuration pages.
