I’ve read this and I’m surprised from the point number 5.
Now: I’d like to implement that effect but in a item on the Main menu. Is this possible?

If you mean “logged in” and “logged out” users, this can be achieved using following plugin: https://da.www.ads-software.com/plugins/nav-menu-roles/
I’ve used it before – and it’s working like a charm ??
