Howto add initial Adsense script in to begin using Advanced Ads

    Hello, I just installed Advance Ads plugin to test it. Looks really good. Then I had created a new adsense account. In order to validate the adsense account, and be able to create an adsense campaign to be used in Advance ads, adsense ask me to insert, in my site <head>, a script to validate my site with adsense. Can I insert that ad sense initial script in <head> using Advanced Ads? How?

    Hi nachogo,

    thanks for getting started with Advanced Ads.

    The script AdSense asks you to insert is actually the “Page-Level Ads” script, which you can enable with just one script in “Advanced Ads > Settings > AdSense”.

    Please be aware that once started, AdSense could also deliver ads through that code automatically in random positions. That is called QuickStart and can be switched off in your AdSense account or just by removing the Page-Level Ads script again.

    Thanks for your quick feedback Thomas. Excuse me, I′m in my first steps with ads. So, if I copy the adsense id pub-XXXXXXX that I can see in the adsense script they show me in my adsense home in order to let me insert it in the <head> of my site, then I return to Advanced Ads/Settings/Adsense and copy my adsense Id in the Add AdsenseID text field, I select the ActivatePageLabelAds, and save, then Adsense will be able to activate my account and let me create Adsense campaigns and ads. After been verified by adsense and my account activated, then I can return to Advanced Ads > Settings > unselect the ActivatePageLabelAds,save and then the Adsense PAge level ads will be desactivated, and the PAge-label script erase from my <head>…and only the adsense ads I manage with ADvanced Ads will be shown in my site. Is it correct or I′m wrong? Thanks a lot and excuse me for been an ads rookie.

    yes, that is correct.

    I completely understand that this can be overwhelming if you just get started.

    Hi again Thomas. I just did it. Adsense validate my site Ok and let me create blocks of ads. I just create two. On the other side, in advanced ads, after been validated by adsense, I have untick, deactivate, the “allow page level ads”.

    Now I have create two in-article ads in Advance Ads and copy the adsense scripts…

    But when I go to the post, and the right place into the post, where the adsense+advanced ads should be visible, there are just two thin black horizontal lines. No ads at all. I′m doing something wrong?

    Hi nachogo. Congrats for having your site verified by AdSense!
    AdSense does not deliver ads right away, it might need some hours on new sites.

    You can still send me your URL via our support and I can check the code of your site anyway.
