• So there seems to be a LOT of bots that have registered on my blog and i want to clean those out and then prevent them from happening.

I have it set up right now so that when you register, you are sent an email and you have to click on a link to verify.

    1) Is there a plugin that will go through the sql db and clean up all accounts that have not verified their email addresses?

    2) What plugin exists that will help prevent this from happening? Maybe something that gives them 48 hours before removing the registration for failing to verify?

Any ideas on helping to clean this all up is appreciated.

    Thanks!

Not that Im aware of, but you could do so via an SQL query. To answer your next question, my SQL-fu is terribly out of practice, so I wouldn’t have a clue where to start.

Just use a CAPTCHA to prevent bots from signing up:

    https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/si-captcha-for-wordpress/

I installed CAPTCHA and the bots or whatever it is submitting fake registrations continue. I get about 3 to 6 per hour.
