• The Thrive Content Builder support suggests that:
‘The 500 error can be caused by various reasons, improper file permissions, custom .htaccess rules, server firewall or other security settings.
Maybe one of your plugins created this restrictions inside of your .htaccess file. Could you check if there is such a file in the directory of your website?’

Can you tell me how to find out whether or not I have an .htaccess file on my website?
    Many thanks
    John

You should endeavour to look for it in the directory where wp-config.php is installed. It is named .htaccess. If you are using an FTP client, you may need to show hidden files (see the docs for your client).

Thanks for the feedback JM – but I am a complete novice – How do I find the directory where wp-config.php is installed, in the website dashboard?

No. You will need to have access to your server. Normally your host gives you credentials to access via FTP. Does any of this make sense?
