.htaccess

  • Every time i edit my .htaccess file to increase speed (expires far future expires headers etc. via Yslow) it gives me an error. This seems like something that everybody does to increase speed, why do i have such problems with it, am i adding it in the wrong space or something? I typically try pasting the codes above, below and inside what is already in the .htaccess file, should i delete the info that’s already in there? Thanks.

    Contact your hosting provider. They may be blocking whatever you’re trying to do via your .htaccess file, or your server doesn’t have the necessary configuration.
