• I accidentally deleted the .htaccess file. Consequently all other pages are not accessible except the main page.

In WordPress Dashboard Settings, I clicked on Permalinks, the file .htaccess is created automatically but I am not able to access the website any more.

What should I do to get everything back to normal?

I clicked on Permalink in WP Dashboard, the file is created automatically but it shows the following error message:

    “Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access /wp-admin/options-permalink.php on this server.”

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
