htaccess and gallery2 using wpg2

  • Several of my sites use a gallery2 with the WPG2 plugin. There have been some issues since upgrading to WP 2.5, involving 1and1.com
    I finally found a fix by adding some code in my htaccess file in the root; but I have noticed, every so often, the file is rewritten, overwriting the code.
    Is the a way to include a portion within the htaccess file that will be “locked”?

  • just curious, have you tried putting an htaccess file in the folder that is one deeper than the root, like in root/wpfolder/ or using a subdomain blog.yourdomain.com and put the wp files in blog.yourdomain.com/wpfiles/ folder?
