htaccess fiile and permalinks problem
-
Firstly, what a great app! Took less than the five minutes you claim and does what it says on the tin.
I want to create permalinks for better search engine visibility but have a problem. I modify in the control panel and copy the code for the .htaccess file, however, there was no file automatically created on install. When I create one and uplodad it I get “internal server error”, even if it is a blank .htaccess file. I cut and paste the revised permalink code into the .htaccess file and ftp it, but still no go. The file is CHMOD to 777
I guess it’s a no-brainer if you’re familiar, but I’m not. Any suggestions?
