.htaccess file keeps corrupting

  • Hello,
    I keep getting “Internal Server Error” on my website. I checked my error logs and all the errors are repeating these two warnings/errors:

    [Mon Jul 11 04:51:58 2016] [crit] (9)Bad file descriptor: public_html/wp-content/cache/page_enhanced/littlefishfx.com/.htaccess pcfg_openfile: unable to check htaccess file, ensure it is readable

    [Mon Jul 11 04:51:58 2016] [error] Access to file public_html/wp-content/cache/page_enhanced/littlefishfx.com/.htaccess denied by server: not a regular file

    Last time I had this error I had to manually re-create the .htaccess which temporarily solved this. However, after checking the error log these errors are continuously everyday.

    EDIT: I also checked the chmod permissions of the .htaccess file to ensure it had read and write permissions for the plugin, but I am still getting this error.

    When you will face error next time, would you please post your corrupted htaccess in here? Or if you have any copy of htaccess from that time, please post here.

    If the htaccess is okay, then it could be any mis-configuration of your vhost file, in that case you have to contact your host to check this issue.
