Hello! Thank you for this great plugin.

I’ve been able to get it to work with the client-side solution but not with either of the server-side solutions. I’ve looked at my .htaccess file and it doesn’t bare any trace of being modified by WP Retina 2x. Is this a mistake?

My wordpress blog site is https://falcomueller.com/blog. Only the latest post is formatted to test the plugin (the other ones all use full-size images…).

I’ve tried adding the RewriteRule you mention in the FAQ for subdomains but it doesn’t change the server-side mode outcome. The plugin is set to HTML Rewrite with Debug Mode on.

Thanks ahead of time for your help. I’m mainly looking to understand what I need to do or looking into to understand why the plugin is not modifying the htaccess file.

HTML Rewrite doesn’t need to change the .htaccess, only the Server-Side one. When using the latter one, the fact that it is not modified is a problem on the WP side or the hosting service (is it Apache? something else?). It’s tricky, usually it’s better to do it manually. Anyway, I recommend you to use the HTML Rewriter ??
