    hi everyone,

have looked on the forums about this but new to hosting my site so it all got me a bit lost. basically, i have a blog at mydomain.com/blog, as well as a page at mydomain.com/blog/page. i want to set it up so that people can access mydomain.com/blog/page, but if anyone tries to go to mydomain.com/blog it returns the custom 404 error. can anyone tell me how? have a feeling it’s something to do with .htaccess but not sure.

    thanks,
    guy

  • Check your .htaccess, what it CONTAINS, before SUSPECTING that this is the culprit ??

Check mydomain.com/.htaccess (using ftp; the file won’t be visible otherwise! you also might need to set up your FTP client to show hidden files)

    and also mydomain.com/blog/.htaccess!

If you open your blog and then click on ‘page’ link – does it work then? or it doesn’t work only if you type mydomain.com/blog/page in the address field of your browser? Give more info and (optionally) url:)
