.htaccess not created by wp

  • I’m using the lastest wp 1.5.1.3

    I moved to the different servers now and i think it’s capable of mod_rewrite

    Problem is, WP doesn’t create the .htaccess for me. I’ve tried to upload blank .htaccess to the folder wp is installed and chmod 666 it but no go. Nothing gets written to that file.

    What is really bothering me is that wp doesn’t give any error message at all. It says everything went well but apperently not.

    If i now try to click permalinks my apache says no input file specified.

    Any ideas?

    To clear the post little bit..
    Of course what i tried was create permalinks via Options | Permalinks
