htaccess not creating or deleted

    BPS is not creating or updating htaccess. I click all the activate buttons but none of it actually create or update htaccess.

    What I have tried?

    Unlock htaccess File
    Turn Off Autolock
    and even manually adding code and click “Update File”.
    Didn’t work. No update happen.

    When used the Setup Wizard it delete my root htaccess file.

    I am lost and have no idea what happened. I looked at my other installs on the same server and it’s working fine. Only this one with this site is giving problems.

    I also get this message:

    htaccess Files Disabled: Root htaccess file writing is disabled.

    I’ve figured it out. Somehow, htaccess was disabled inside the Setup Wizard Options. Enabled it and all is working perfectly.
