    Hello+
I have successfully used WPFC on multiple sites, including the one I’m writing about now, prior to this update. It has worked as expected each time, until today. Today I updated the plugin to 8.6.3 and then checked my WPFC Options settings. It did not remember my previous checked boxes, so I re-checked them and clicked “submit”. It gave me a notice stating “.htaccess is not writeable” and for me to “Manually Modify .htaccess” – I have never had to do this prior to this update. I am the only one that has access to the hosting & FTP – and I have not changed any of the settings. I have WordFence Security on the site, so it is highly unlikely that the site has been hacked. Please advise on why I have to manually update the .htaccess now?
    Thank you, +ES

Because there is no writing permission.

Can you try the save the permalinks via /wp-admin/options-permalink.php please? You will see that WP cannot save either.

    Hi+

I do not understand, there WAS writing permissions BEFORE the update – I did not have an issue with any of it prior to updating your plugin…. How/why did your plugin change those writing permissions when I updated it? (It was the only update that I did at that time.) How do I get the permissions to allow your theme to function as expected (as it used to)?

I did go to Permalink Settings and it DOES save – I can provide you with a screen shot showing that it saved, if you tell me where/how to provide you with the JPG?

    Please advise.
