After a relaunch of a pretty good linked website I changed the permalink structure for some good reasons from this:

    https://www.***.org/blog/2014/06/04/foo

    to this

    https://www.***.org/foo

Unsurprisingly all the backlinks in Google, Google plus etc. are now redirecting to the 404 error page.

Is there any chance to write a line into the htaccess file which looks more or less like this?

    Redirect 301 /blog/[yyyy]/[mm]{[dd]/foo /foo

    Thanks in advance.

  • That is because you missed /blog in your links .. if you have moved wordpress to different directory then follow this

And you dint say if you can see the links by yourself working or not ?

try and see the old links

That’s not the point. I wrote I changed the permalink structure for good reasons and I certainly know about this basic things like moving a WordPress installation.

All I want is that search queries with the old url structure are redirected via htaccess to the page with the new url structure.
