I have a private WordPress webpage protected with a .htaccess file.

After I have provided the .htaccess required username and password, the program asks me to login to my WordPress admin account, which mean it goes directly from .htaccess to wp-login.php.

Instead of this, I would like it to go directly from the .htaccess to the webpage. On this webpage I would then like to have a logon possibility to my WordPress admin pages, if I would like to change anything on the webpage.

    How do I manage this?

Thank you for your answer. However, it’s not exactly what I was looking for.

I would still like to restrict the access to the webpage, which is under development, to three persons through authentication in the .htaccess file. After having provided the correct username and password for the .htaccess, I now come to the WordPress logon page.

Instead of end up on the WordPress logon page, I would like end up directly on my Webpage.

If a then would like to modify anything, I would need have a logon possibility from the Webpage.

I hope this clarifies what I am after.
